Every day I will post about something that irritates me. I would like to know if these things bother you, too, and what you do about them. Together, we can share our dislikes.

Hey, it's not all negative! In the process, maybe we can let go of those things that annoy us and and discover things we like. Maybe not. Also, I will probably babble about other stuff.

I 'm Putting My Foot Down

Feet...Feet...feet-feet-feet!
What the Hell is it with people and their feet? Everywhere I go, people are talking about their feet! Or their toe-nails or their pedicures or taking pictures of their damn feet.
What is going on? It's downright creepy if you ask me.
Is feet-gazing the new "navel-gazing"? Have we become so bored with self analysis that now, perfection of the foot is the key to an individual sense of well-being?

Don't get me wrong, nice feet are important to me, right up there with well-cared for teeth and clean hair. Feet, just like other parts of the body, should be clean and fungus free. Some polish is perfectly fine. There's nothing nicer than a pretty foot and nothing more frightening than ugly, gross feet with brittle toe-nails.
*shudder*

Is getting a pedicure the new status symbol? Like, "I can afford to pay someone else to groom my feet." Woo-hoo, because that doesn't impress me at all; I don't want to put my feet in container that's had other people's feet in it, let alone, have a stranger touching my feet.
*shudder, again*

I know some people have foot fetishes, which I never really understood, but is it more wide-spread than I thought? Maybe, all this foot talk is sexually motivated and I'm missing the innuendo? Are feet the new cleavage?

I like looking at pictures of people's new hair styles or clothes or cute shoes, I totally GET that sort of thing, but please tell me -
what is this obsession of showing off the feet?
