Every day I will post about something that irritates me. I would like to know if these things bother you, too, and what you do about them. Together, we can share our dislikes.

Hey, it's not all negative! In the process, maybe we can let go of those things that annoy us and and discover things we like. Maybe not. Also, I will probably babble about other stuff.

More Junk Treasures

The first house I owned was an old farm house on two acres with orchard land all around. God! I miss that place, especially now that I live in the 'burbs, with neighbors.
*sigh*
I totally remodeled the inside, new floors, new counter-tops, entirely new bathroom. Well, "I" didn't do the bathroom or the counter-tops, but I painted the whole thing myself, even the outside. By the time I got done, I had spent all my money and had absolutely nothing to decorate it with except my kids pictures, so I set out to "find stuff" as cheap as possible.

I found this "thing" in a box of kitchen gadget type stuff at a garage sale. Mismatched silverware, egg-slicers, things like that. I pulled this out and at first I didn't really know what it was, until I read the obvious measurement on the side. For 50 cents I thought it looked interesting enough to take home. I've Googled it and found two that were almost identical and it said they were from the 1890's:

And after I spent a few years of "finding stuff" for my old farm house, it looked like Grandma had not cleaned the place out since 1890!

Do you prefer living in the city or in the country?
